Visiting the vet

A visit to the Vet's office can be stressful for any pet. It's a new place filled with other stressed animals and funny smells. So it's more important than ever that we advocate for our dogs. The Vet's office is not the place to allow people or other dogs to approach or meet your dog... that is usually a recipe for disaster. So don't be afraid to speak up and say 'No' if a fellow patron or their dog gets too close to yours in the waiting area. You dog will thank you for it! While we wait for our turn, dogs hold a nice down/stay and we give him firm expectations for his attitude and behaviour during the exam.
