Indoor Practice is Important too!

On wet days with long periods of freezing rain I like to run through obedience commands in the house with some added challenges and distractions! Initially, dogs can really struggle to pay attention to me and prioritize our work when his playmates are sharing the same small space, but thanks to our remote collar communication approach, I can use this great training method to proactively guide him around our little obstacle course and keep him on track!
Before remote collar/ECollar training, we often have no meaningful way of communicating with the dog before he makes a poor choice which means we can only react to the dog’s mistake after he’s made it. With our training approach, we use structure (being in command at all times), remote collar communication (help and guidance in the form of communication meaning ‘don’t do that’ and ‘yes, do this’), and also correcting mistakes/poor choices when they do happen to give the dog a complete picture of what we’d like him to do, and maybe more importantly, what we’d like him NOT to do
