Who's This Guy?

Different handlers but the same universal language through our remote collar communication!

It takes lots of practice to learn how to generalize commands to new environments and also from different handlers! It’s very common for dogs to seem a bit hesitant or be genuinely confused when give the same commands by a new handler because to the dog, it seems completely new! This is why it’s great when we have the opportunity to have another experienced handler run a dog through his commands to give him a broader education by working with different people!

The constant ‘universal language’ that we have to help dogs understand commands and follow their training with new handlers (or in new environments!) is our remote collar communication. It is also common that a new handler will need to repeat commands during the session. Whenever we repeat a command, it comes with a tap on the remote collar and because the dog is trained to understand remote collar communication, this informational tap helps him connect the dots so that he can follow through with the command even though it is a new handler.
