Just Add Conditioning

Muzzle conditioning helps folks to feel more empowered and confident when they take their formerly reactive dog out in public and also so that we can keep the dog 100% safe from making a bad choice should life throw a sketchy situation his way. Muzzles are amazing tools that should be worn with pride because they represent safety and responsibility!

Dogs that land bites on animals or people can be reported and recorded and after enough bites that dog at best can earn a muzzle order and at worst be seized and euthanized for it’s behaviour. So we NEVER want to take any unnecessary risks by not using all the safety precautions at our disposal.

While in training the dogs learn how to ignore other dogs we pass on the walk or see our in public while staying tuned into his handler (me!) and CALM. Wearing a muzzle on the walk is just the cherry on the top of our safety sundae- just in case we encounter one of those unfair crappy situations when irresponsible rude off leash dogs or dogs roaming at large approach us… which does happen. In training the dogs also learn how to stay behind his handler while the human drives off the threat so that we can make sure that the dog is safe and protected at all times from having the opportunity to make a bad choice. A handler’s number one concern at all times is the dog in their care and making sure that he is calm and polite, protected and advocated for at all times.
